Irish Absolutely offers high quality Irish gifts suitable for all occasions including birthdays, bridal showers, christenings, weddings, Easter, Christmas, special celebrations of all kinds, house warming, and, of course, St. Patrick's Day!  Frankly, we hope when you see our gifts, if there isn't a 'big' occasion around the corner you will invent an excuse for you to get one of our gifts!

Our gifts are all certainly different.  They are the kind, just to find them, usually takes a lot of browsing around on the highways and byways of Ireland - plus a lot of luck!  But when you do find them, you know instantly that they are 'just right', either for yourself - or as a meaningful and memorable gift for a special friend!

Irish Absolutely is a non-political, non-denominational, organization based in North America and owned and managed by emigrants from Ireland. Although we left some years ago, a big part of our hearts is still in Ireland.  Despite receiving a very warm welcome in our new adopted country, something urges us to go back to visit old friends and family as often as possible.

Irish Absolutely's purpose is to foster an on-going interest in Ireland and all good things Irish.  Our support of charities is also of fundamental importance to us.  We will continue to expand our line of unique and innovative gifts that are truly innovative and different.  And, since we believe that it is important that all gifts bring a joyous smile to your face, our gifts have a decided emphasis on being fun!

Since many of our gifts are individually and painstakingly hand crafted by highly skilled artisans, they can only be created in small numbers. Consequently there is always a risk that any particular item may not last long once it appears on our site.  So if you subscribe to our periodic newsletter, we will let you know when new items become available. Naturally, we also encourage suggestions on Irish gifts that you would find interesting or, indeed, any comments you would like to make. We will be delighted to hear from you!

Irish Cottages Now Connected to Clean Water Supply

It is the best of times.

This is a time when we think of others and wonder how we can bring smiles to the faces and touch the hearts of those who mean so much to us.  Giving the perfect gift is such a rewarding experience.  Sometimes we fool ourselves into thinking we do it only for their benefit.  However, when we really think about it, we realize just how good giving makes us feel.

It is the worst of times.

I know many of us find things tough these days.  But despite the difficulties we face, we pull ourselves together and do our best to make our loved ones feel special.  Sometimes what keeps us going is remembering that, despite our problems, in reality we enjoy the good things in life in abundance.

All this while so many others have almost nothing.  Not even basic necessities like clean drinking water which can make the difference between life and death.  When I think about it, I can't drink a glass of water, or sip a cup of tea without remembering my good fortune.

Recognizing the seriousness of the problem, I am delighted to report that we have achieved an engineering miracle and established a solid connection between a source of clean drinking water and each of our Irish Cottages!

Our Support of Charities

From our very first day, Irish Absolutely set aside 5% of all our sales revenue for charity.  However, when we considered all our blessings, we realized we had to do more.  So we quadrupled our contribution to 20%.  And, after careful research, we selected Water.org as our charity of choice.  It has an outstanding reputation with many organizations and is top rated as a charity.

Bringing life-saving clean drinking water to those in need in underdeveloped countries is an extraordinarily worthwhile endeavor.  We strongly support their very successful approach of providing funds and guidance in a way that those in need not only get connected to a source of clean water, but also take ownership and responsibility for their own future needs.  Creating a sense of ownership in this way helps ensure that the benefits are long lasting.

Of course much remains to be done.

To help us make our efforts blossom, first, we need your support.  If you don't already own at least one of our Irish Cottage packages with all the things that come with it in addition to the Cottage itself, we encourage you to get at least one just because they are so attractive and cute!  Now I know it is hilarious, but if you don't want the responsibility of Cottage ownership at this time, we also offer our Cottages on a rental basis and on very attractive terms!  Check it out!

And, of course, our Cottages make wonderful, unique and memorable, gifts suitable for all occasions.

We encourage you to put your cottage where you can keep a watchful eye on it.  Your cottage will then be a constant reminder of your thoughtfulness and how you have brought help to children and families in underdeveloped countries many of whom, thanks to you, will experience the joy and relief of having access to clean drinking water for the first time in their lives.
