1. A ceramic Irish Cottage sitting on its own ceramic base. Including the base, it is about 3.5 inches wide, 2.5 inches deep and overall about 3 inches high. I know, I know, it is small and is really designed to sleep only 4, although you could sleep 6 'little' people at a pinch. After all, it is an Irish cottage, so of course it is intended for the "wee" folk!
2. So you don't freeze to death, especially at night when the damp can get into your bones, you will need turf for your cottage fireplace. So we have included a couple of logs to get you started and get the damp out of the air... As each of them burn for about 25 minutes, this will keep you warm and cozy for quite a while. As the smoke winds its way up your cottage chimney, you will experience the unique charm and unmistakable aroma of genuine Irish turf. A word of warning: if, at the same time, you put on some good Irish music, the combination of sound and aroma will bring tears to your eyes! If this happens, sure you can always blame the smoke for your tears, just as the Irish have done for generations.
3. There is a practical side to it of course, but also for the fun of it, we have included an "Owner's Operating and Maintenance Manual"! Answers all the questions you could possibly have about owning and maintaining your Irish cottage!
4. We also include a booklet written especially for us by Niall Flanagan called "The Romance of Irish Stone Cottages and Turf Fires". This provides a revealing insight into Irish folk lore, as well as an explanation on the importance of turf fires in Ireland.
5. Every now and again you will need to do a little spring cleaning, so we have included one of Evin's official chimney brushes. (You will meet Evin when you read Niall's booklet).
